The M.A. TESOL conference has become a tradition at San Francisco State University. Every semester, the students in the graduating class organize a conference to present their capstone projects and network with teachers, students, and other professionals.
This semester’s conference will take place on May 4, 2012 and will feature twenty presentations on a variety of topics from the field of TESOL.
The conference’s theme is “Paths and Panoramas: Exploring the Landscape of TESOL.” This theme aims to encompass our projects’ different approaches. Some of our presentations take on a focused path to explore a TESOL issue at a micro level. Others reflect on broader areas of study in order to gain a new panoramic perspective on key issues affecting the field of TESOL. Both approaches, or even a combination of both, lead to meaningful ways of researching and practicing teaching.
On this site, you can meet this semester’s presenters, read the abstracts for their presentations, and review the conference’s schedule.
